About
meet fox
Fox is a disabled illustrator and comic artist recently transplanted from the Bay Area, California to Montreal, Quebec.
They obtained their fine arts degree in illustration (BFA 2011) at the California College of Arts and Crafts, then fell into a 10-year burnout complicated by injury and disability.
They uprooted entirely at the end of 2020 to find fresh soil. The shock was disruptive but necessary for regrowth.
In December 2021 they found the courage to begin drawing again, and quickly their passion for creating art was reignited. Soon the sketchbooks were stacking up. Art creation is now inseparable from Fox’s daily life, with their days filled with a combination of painting and intensive rehabilitative treatment.
Rebirth isn’t easy but it certainly is worth it, and they are very glad for it.
